Minor SurgeryKael has had multiple problems with runny noses, breathing, speaking and sleeping so after a consult with the ENT doc Dr. Lee we found he needed to have both his tonsils and adenoids removed. So on October 10th we headed to Same Day Surgery bright and early for the procedure. Thankfully Kael was very calm throughout the entire process. It was a slow recovery but nearly two weeks later he is doing very well!

Posing for a pic in his hospital scrubs. They took us back to a little room filled with toys. The anesthesiologist came in to explain to Kael that they were going to put a mask on him and needed him to breathe very hard into the mask to blow up a yellow balloon. They let us walk him down the hall and how sad it was to see him go through those doors! About 20 minutes later we were talking to Dr. Lee about how well things went... very large tonsils and adenoids!
Sitting on Mommy's lap just after surgery. The nurse said Kael was a great patient! Most kids sleep for a few hours after surgery but she said she wheeled him in the recovery room and he just looked up at her with his big brown eyes. We actually had to wait for the meds to be brought over from the pharmacy before we could leave.
Still able to suck his thumb, bandages, IV and all!
Sitting on Daddy's lap... back in his pj's and getting ready to go. Daddy found an extra 'button' on Kael that needed removing before we could leave.
